Reporting to the Principal, the Secondary School Office Administrator will provide administrative and office management support to the Principal in the operation of the school. The Secondary School Office Administrator will also provide direction to the administrative/clerical staff within the school and maintain good working relationships and communications with students, parents, staff (school and other Board personnel) and the community.
In consultation with the Principal, the Office Administrator will assign responsibilities and manage the work of the school office and staff.
The goal of Kâpapâmahchakwêw – Wandering Spirit School is to generate an education delivery model that will improve educational outcomes for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students by centering Indigenous cultures histories and perspectives. The program model allows students to work at their own pace with individualized instruction in a non- competitive environment. The program's foundation and success are based on traditional practices while offering "wrap around" services that meet the special needs of at-risk students and foster positive Indigenous identity, academic success, and overall well-being.
Position: Permanent full-time Secondary School Office Administrator
Hours: 5 days per week, 35 hours per week, scheduled between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Work Year: 10 months plus four weeks
